It is an argument, not a list of links

Every edition opens with one thing worth understanding about how power actually moves in Indian business, built out of the fortnight’s reporting. The first one asks who actually picks a chief executive, and finds that in several of the fortnight’s changes it was not a search committee. It was a shareholder agreement, an acquisition, or a document signed two years earlier.

Then the names we added to the Watchlist that fortnight, each with the reason. Then a dated record of who moved.

Twice a month, not twice a week

Fortnightly is a deliberate choice. Most newsletters in this category arrive weekly and pad the gap. If a fortnight produces nothing worth your attention, we would rather write less than fill space.

Somebody you think belongs on it

Write to thewatchlist@leaderstowatch.com and tell us who, and what they have actually done. A job change gets somebody considered. A pointable act of leadership gets them published.
